Maarten Steinbuch
Maarten Steinbuch (1960) is Distinguished University Professor at Eindhoven University of Technology. From 1987-1999 he was with Philips Eindhoven. Since 1999 he is full professor and chair of the Control Systems Technology group of the Mechanical Engineering Department.
He is Director of the TU/e Graduate ProgramAutomotive Systems, member of the board of Automotive NL. Since 2014 he is also Scientific Director of the TU/e High Tech Systems Center HTSC. In 2013 he was appointed Distinguished University Professor at TU/e.
In 2015 Maarten received the KIVI Academic Society Award. In 2016 he received the STW Simon Stevin Meester 2016 award, the highest Dutch award for Science and Technology. He is Faculty member of SingularityU NL. His research interests are modeling, design and control of motion systems, robotics, automotive powertrains and of fusion plasmas.
